Summary
Sequence of Play:
- General Card Draw:
When a new player becomes the Navigator, each player draws a card for each temple he owns.
Card counts:
50 Objection, 23 Temple, 23 Wind, 16 Plague, 11 Zeus (wild), 9 Pandora
- Navigator’s Turn (actions are optional and may occur in any order):
- * (once per turn) Draw 2 additional cards. Cost: 1 Pandora card
- * Exchange Goal Card for a new one of any color except that on which the ship lies. Cost: as many cards of any kind as you have temples.
- Place Plague. Not possible if all currently on board. Cost: 1 Plague card
- Remove Plague. Cost: as many cards of any kind as you have temples
- Build Temple. Cost: 1 temple card plus 1 other card of any kind per temple you own
- Move ship (to propose a plagued destination, proposer must play cards to remove the plague first).
- Use blue marker to propose destination.
- Objection Round. Going around once, any player who wishes to challenge can play an objection and add the red destination.
A third proposal can be made by playing two objections and adding the black marker.
- Resolution Round. Players vote for the various options using objection cards.
To support red, must play enough cards to exceed blue.
To support black, must play enough cards to exceed blue plus red.
Continues until only 1 player standing.
Blue wins ties.
- Player shows card whenever the ship reaches one of his destinations.
- The New Guide:
If the ship moved to the active player's destination, he may play a Wind card to remain the Navigator and take another turn,
* but without being able to play Pandora or change goals. Otherwise, the player to his left becomes the new Navigator; return to (A).
Setup:
Ulysses begins in Troy.
Each player receives 1 random goal card in each color.
Each player receives a temple.
First player receives 5 cards, next 6 cards, etc.
